Yup, looks like this fandom is dominated by Sinbad/Jafar.
Personally, though I enjoy the show I have no pairing or well, fangirl it in particular ^^
After more than two months of hesitation I’ve finally managed to write a little post about J-Fest’14.
I and Riette decided to cosplay Gyokuen and Hakuryuu long time ago, but these cosplays weren’t that easy as we thaught at first. Not only saying about costumes (btw my dress wasn’t sewn by me, beacause I was very afraid of mangling it), but mostly about our mental state. We wanted to become the characters, to live their lives. And it was the hardest part, because it goes without saying that both Hakuryuu and his mother have an extraordinary personality. When we felt that we are ready, we sent a request for performing at J-Fest. This convent is known as one of the two most important japanese festivals in Russia, so we were ready for rejection. But the organizers accepted our request! I had started looking for appropriate soundtrack many months before that
(I wasn’t even waiting for official OSTs, because somewhere deep inside I knew there wouldn’t be chinese-like melodies), so the last problem was rehearsal. Riette lives in another city, we didn’t have an opportunity to meet until the last week.
Finally, that day came, and everything I could think about was my shaking knees and bad staff. But when I stepped on the stage I felt incredibly light. It felt like I have become Gyokuen herself for two minutes of our performance. It was an amazing sense! And how happy we were when we heard that we took the second place!! Though we missed the awards ceremony because I mulled the time… But nevertheless we won two super-cool sewing-machines!!
And now I can unhesitatingly say that the second day of J-Fest’14 was one of the best episodes in my life!
urgh I really have graphomania symptoms..
And here are some photos. I hope soon we’ll have a photoshoot.
